2025 Hopes and Expectations

JR Motorsports has an interesting collection of drivers lined up for their 2025 season.  With defending champion Justin Allgaier being the ‘old guard,’ he’ll be the leader of a younger team.  Both Carson Kvapil and Connor Zilisch will be competing for Rookie of the Year in ’25, but watch for them to be competitive early.  Sammy Smith is the wildcard of the group, as he enters his third full-time Xfinity Series season.

Allgaier will be a perennial contender for the championship, and so anything less will be a step back.  Smith needs to make the playoffs and push for a spot in the Final Four.  There might not be room for both Kvapil and Zilisch in the playoffs, but they’ll certainly try – and it’s not unrealistic to think they’ll have a shot.
