2025 Hopes and Expectations

Joe Gibbs Racing’s Xfinity Series program was the best and most consistent Xfinity Team last year, but there are some big changes in 2025.  With essentially a brand new lineup, JGR is taking some risks on some younger and unproven drivers, though there is certainly some talent there.  William Sawalich is coming in after tearing up the ARCA Menards Series (East, West, and regular).  Taylor Gray is coming off an impressive NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season, where he finished 6th in the standings.  Brandon Jones returns to JGR after a two-year stint with JR Motorsports (Jones previously had spent five seasons with JGR).

With two of their three full-time drivers vying for Rookie of the Year, it has the potential to be a bit of a down year for JGR’s Xfinity program, but developing talent for Toyota is also an important part of the lower series.  Look for Jones to take on a leadership role within the team, and for the two newbies to challenge for a win.
