2025 Hopes and Expectations
With the retirement of Cup Series veteran Martin Truex Jr., Joe Gibbs Racing welcomes Chase Briscoe into the fold as their lone new driver for 2025. He showed some promise at Stewart-Haas Racing, but never fully materialized into the dominant force (particularly at Road Courses) he was in the Xfinity Series. A step up in equipment should help him here. Ty Gibbs looks to be on the precipice of that first career Cup Series win. Christopher Bell has shown himself to be a safe bet to make the Final Four (though he narrowly missed out last season). Then there’s Denny Hamlin, who many tout as the best driver to never win a championship.
Joe Gibbs Racing will be hoping for Ty Gibbs to earn that first victory and make a solid playoff push, Briscoe to grow into his ride and compete for wins, Bell to challenge for the championship, and at this point in Hamlin’s career it might be championship or bust.
