2025 Hopes and Expectations

With Esteban Ocon departing, Alpine has promoted their 2024 reserve driver, Jack Doohan, to a full-time seat for 2025. Meanwhile, Pierre Gasly secured a multi-year contract extension in June, keeping him with the team until at least 2026. Despite a significant points reduction in 2024 due to the rise of rival teams, Alpine managed to retain 6th place in the Constructors' standings. The team’s focus will likely be on maintaining competitiveness in the midfield and fostering Doohan’s development alongside the experienced Gasly. This will be Alpine’s final year as an engine manufacturer, which could be promising news given that their power unit has consistently ranked among the weakest on the grid in terms of output. The key question is how much development effort has been invested in the 2025 power unit and whether it will impact their on-track performance.

Bold Prediction

Alpine’s underperforming engine and Jack Doohan’s inconsistency cost the team, resulting in a drop to 7th place in the standings.
