Big Jim Dunn was honored at the NHRA banquet with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his incredible 70+ years in drag racing, starting at age 15. At 90 years old, he’s still actively tuning cars and committed to continuing his career in the sport he loves. During his speech, he shared stories from his legendary wins, including the 1969 March Meet and the 1972 World Finals, while emphasizing that he’s not stepping away anytime soon. Jim has mentored countless top drivers over the years and is currently working with Buddy Hull, showing his dedication to the next generation of racers. We’re thrilled to celebrate Big Jim’s well-deserved recognition and look forward to seeing him in action for years to come!
