HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (May 22, 2024) – Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) announced Wednesday that Brett Moffitt will pilot the No. 19 Toyota GR Supra for the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) race at Iowa Speedway next month. Moffitt’s longstanding partners, Destiny Homes and Concrete Supply, will be featured on the No. 19 Supra.

The NXS return to Iowa Speedway is special to Moffitt as he was born and raised in Grimes, Iowa – just 45 minutes west of the racetrack. He is no stranger to success at the 0.875-mile track. Moffitt made his NXS debut at the track in 2012 earning a ninth-place finish. He also won a pair of back-to-back NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS) wins at Iowa in 2018 and 2019. He has eight ARCA Menards Series East and West starts at the track with one win, five top-five finishes, and seven top-10s.

“We’re excited to have Brett come back to JGR to run in Xfinity,” said Steve DeSouza, EVP NASCAR Xfinity Series/Development at JGR. “He has shown great success at Iowa and will have knowledge of the track that will help our entire Xfinity program as the series makes its return to the track.”

Moffitt will be making a return to JGR equipment having raced the team’s ARCA Menards Series East entry in 2010, collecting two wins and six top-five finishes as the championship runner-up.

“I have a lot of great memories of racing at Iowa Speedway, especially the back-to-back wins in the Truck Series,” said Moffitt, the 2018 NCTS Champion. “I’m grateful for Destiny Homes and Concrete Supply supporting me, and I feel really confident that with Joe Gibbs Racing and Toyota, we have the opportunity to find the same success in June.”

“Destiny Homes is really proud to support Brett in his return to Iowa Speedway,” said Dan Sparks, President of Destiny Homes. “After winning with Brett here in 2018 and 2019, we’re just really thankful that NASCAR has brought racing back to Iowa. Hopefully, we can make a trip back to victory lane again!”

Overall, the 31-year-old driver has 117 NXS starts since 2012, earning three top-five finishes and 32 top-10 finishes in those starts.

The HyVee Perks 250 at Iowa Speedway will be run on Saturday, June 15 at 3:30 PM ET and will be televised live on USA Network, MRN Radio, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
