WELCOME, N.C. (August 30, 2022) – Richard Childress Racing Press Release
Let’s Ride! The toughest sport on dirt meets the track too tough to tame this September at Darlington Raceway when Anthony Alfredo pilots the No. 23 Carolina Cowboys Chevrolet Camaro SS in the VFW Help A Hero 200 NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Darlington Raceway. The race airs live on Saturday, September 4 at 3 p.m. ET on USA Network.
The Carolina Cowboys represent the Carolinas in the PBR Team Series, an elite new league that features the world’s top bull riders competing on teams in five-on-five bull riding games during an 11-event season. The team is operated by Richard Childress Racing with 2018 Daytona 500 Champion Austin Dillon serving as General Manager. The Cowboys are coached by PBR co-founder Jerome Davis.
“I didn’t grow up bull riding, but as someone who loves action sports I’ve really been enjoying learning more about the Carolina Cowboys and the new PBR Teams Series,” said Alfredo, driver of the No. 23 Carolina Cowboys Chevrolet for Our Motorsports. “It’s so cool to be able to show NASCAR fans just how entertaining the sport of bull riding can be. I hope they have the chance to come out to the Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Winston-Salem Sept. 9-11 for the inaugural Carolina Cowboys Homestand.”
